Delete your data

Last updated: August 17, 2026

This page explains how to delete everything Water Tracker: Sipster holds about you — both the data on your phone and the small amount held on our servers — and exactly what happens when you do.

Most of your data never leaves your phone. Your logged drinks, goals, cups, streaks and history live in a private database on the device. Deleting the app deletes them, and no request to us is needed.

Option 1 — Delete the data on your device

  1. Export it first if you want to keep it. Sipster Pro can export every entry as a CSV file from inside the app. Once the app is gone, the data is gone, and we cannot restore it because we never had a copy.
  2. Uninstall Sipster — on iOS, press and hold the app icon and choose Delete App; on Android, press and hold the icon and choose Uninstall (or use Settings → Apps → Water Tracker: Sipster → Uninstall).
  3. That removes the app's entire database, your settings, and your locally scheduled reminders. Nothing is left behind on the device.

Uninstalling does not cancel a Sipster Pro subscription — cancel that in your App Store or Google Play account settings, or you will continue to be billed.

Option 2 — Delete your account and everything server-side

Only relevant if you chose to sign in with Apple or Google. If you never signed in, there is no account to delete.

  1. Open Sipster and go to Settings.
  2. Open the Account section (it shows the email you signed in with).
  3. Choose Delete account and confirm.
  4. You are signed out immediately, and your account enters a 90-day recovery window. During that window you can restore it by signing in again with the same provider. After 90 days our purge process erases it permanently and it cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.

Option 3 — Ask us to delete it for you

If you cannot open the app — for example you have already uninstalled it — email us and we will do it by hand.

Deleting without deleting your account

If you would rather keep your account but remove a specific item — your support conversation, for instance — email us and say what you want removed. You do not have to delete the account to have part of your data deleted.
