The short version. Everything you log in Sipster — your drinks, your goal, your history, your notes — stays in a database on your device and is not uploaded. What does reach our server is a short list: a random code that identifies the installation, basic usage events such as “app opened”, anything you send us through the support form, the receipt for a purchase so it can be verified with the store, and, only if you choose to sign in, your email address and display name.

1. Who is responsible

Sipster is published by JUNAID MOHAMMED ABDUL NAYEEM, Chicago, Illinois, United States. For anything to do with this policy or your data, write to junaid.mohammed777@yahoo.com. Email is the only support channel; there is no telephone contact.

2. What stays on your device

The following never leaves your phone unless you export it yourself:

These are stored in Sipster’s own database and preferences on the device. We cannot see them, and neither can anyone else.

3. What we receive, and why

WhatWhyKept for
A random installation code, generated on your device the first time you open the app, plus the platform, app version and event names such as “app opened” To count how many people use the app and to see whether a release is working. It is not a device identifier, is not shared with anyone, and cannot be used to identify you While the app is in use, and up to 24 months afterwards
Messages you send through Settings → Feedback and support, the email address you give with them, a phone number only if you choose to type one, and your app version and device model So a person can read your message and reply to you Up to 24 months after the conversation ends
The purchase token or receipt issued by Apple or Google, the product identifier and the transaction identifier To verify with the store that a purchase is genuine and to keep your access correct when a subscription renews, lapses or is refunded As long as the purchase record is needed for support and tax purposes
If you sign in: your email address, your display name and the identifier issued by Apple or Google To hold your account and to attach your purchase and support history to it Until you delete the account (see section 7)
If you allow notifications: a push token issued by the operating system Only so we can tell you that support has replied Until it is replaced or you turn notifications off

4. What we never collect

If you choose to attach an image from your photo library to something in the app, that image is not uploaded, not read and not stored by us. It stays on your device.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for advertising or cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use it to build a profile of you. We have never done so and have no plans to.

5. Legal bases for processing

If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or a jurisdiction with similar law, our legal bases are: performance of a contract, for verifying purchases and providing the paid features and any account you create; legitimate interests, for the small volume of usage events that tell us whether the app is working, and for answering your support messages; and consent, for push notifications, which you give through the operating system and can withdraw at any time in your device settings.

6. Who processes data on our behalf

We keep the list of service providers deliberately short:

Our servers are located in the United States, so if you are outside the United States the data in section 3 is transferred there. Where required, that transfer relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an equivalent mechanism.

7. Your choices and your rights

You can, at any time and without asking us:

Depending on where you live you may also have the right to access, correct, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, to receive a copy of it in a portable form, and to complain to your local supervisory authority. Email junaid.mohammed777@yahoo.com and we will act on your request within one month. We will not charge you or treat you differently for exercising these rights.

8. Children

Sipster is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to junaid.mohammed777@yahoo.com and we will delete it.

9. Security

Data in transit is encrypted. Access to the server is limited to the publisher. That said, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. The strongest protection in Sipster is structural rather than a promise: the detail of what you drink is never sent anywhere, so there is nothing about it to breach.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, say so in the app. Continuing to use Sipster after a change means you accept the updated policy.
